Space, time and industry explosively collide in the NVII Collection.
NVII is an architectural, unfettered collection collocating with the grit, gravel, concrete, steel tonnage and human density of the urban city. Inspired by post-apocalyptic themes in photography, painting, sculpture, literature and religion, Anne Bowen manifests her inner warrior and imparts her global influences. Icons of NVII, such as the North Star designed with only 4 points, represent the navigating star for all nomads, and the symbolic number VII, truth and the seeker of knowledge.
Samurai influences appear in floor sweeping, oversized hooded vests embellished with gears and clock parts having jagged edges sewn on almost as armor. T-shirts with bands and cutouts appear as if they are from another time. Industrial metal chain is woven to raw, coarse twine into moto jackets, dresses and tops while juxtaposed against the sheerest, delicate baby sea island cotton voile and knit on handkerchief hem dresses, NVII introduces contrary forces, the yin and yang within the collection; within all of us.
NVII the brand, is about a spirit, an energy and a consciousness both universal and individual. The crossing of cultures, boundaries, lines and universal acceptance is embedded into the fabric of the designs. IN keeping with the mantra of environmental and social responsibility, the company utilizes suppliers and factories committed to the ethical and responsible production of goods and products.
Hair and Makeup - Master stylist Edward Tricomi of Warren Tricomi lends his considerable talent and team to completing the NVII look for hair and makeup on the runway models.
